Can’t see this being true at all. We’ll be signing class this year no way a journeyman from league one is anywhere near our radar.

I wouldn't fancy Greogry but to be fair I'd have Marvin Johnson back. He assisted Gregory for the goal against Sunderland.

He's only 31 and would be perfect for our system. I thought he did well playing as a WB under Warnock and would have finished the season with double figures in assists if it hadn't been for him getting covid and losing his place.

And , Lee Gregory is not the answer, too old , we need the younger version.
Cole Stockton/ Kevin Nesbit are a better option, but , to get out of this league quality counts.
Dwight Gayle will be available, but again age is against him.
Riis / Djokores , who knows who CW will go for but himself.

Come on guys try and see the bigger picture. He's a former electrician so if he's not banging em in (which judging by his record is extremely likely), Wilder will just have him doing maintainence works around Rockcliffe. It's a win win.

I think Gayle is a good shout but he’s also had a recent bout of injuries which probably excludes him from the contract talks. I’d also say his salary demands would also be too much for us.
