Lee Anderson - GB News

I thought so, I can't speak for others but I certainly never considered you to be anything other than a genuine long standing poster.
Appreciate that Gord. Though it has left a bit of a bad taste that a sneaky accusation of some sort gets thrown in and left there with no explanation or follow up.
I still maintain that the post I originally mentioned was unnecessarily inviting trouble from another board. I just didn't see the need for it.

I'm not batting for anyone (except by default maybe Erimus74 I suppose).
I just wonder why there are so many references to them. It is like a private vendetta which I don't understand, and it often derails threads.
I don't know what Post 13# is if it isn't accusing someone of sneering at us. And if you were inviting it why would you do that? It is just causing trouble for the sake of it.
The other board is locked up and is nothing to do with us so why is it even mentioned?
I'm pleased that the irony was intentional, well done.

The post literally says someone will "be on here saying WE'RE sneering" not the other way around.

I wrote it as on every one of these threads, some 'new user' comes on and begins rending their garments that we're talking down to the downtrodden Tory-voting, Brexit-supporters.

So go back, read what a wrote for a third time, and see that I wasn't accusing anyone of sneering.

This new line of misinterpreting plain English in order to, once again, turn grown adults who do stupid things of their own accord into victims is tiring.

Yes, you sneeringly accused someone of possibly accusing us of being sneering.
You have admitted that you did this to invite them to accuse you of sneering.
Regardless of confusion over the wording, that to me is deliberately causing trouble which I think is unnecessary.

As to your last line, if that was aimed at me, what do you mean?
What stupid things have I done and how am I am misinterpreting plain English to turn into a victim?

And to be pedantic, if you're going to go down the use of good English route, maybe you should edit this bit:

I wasn't being pedantic about good English, I was ensuring you stopped accusing me of something that I didn't do. But congratulations on uncharitably attributing a typo to poor grammar.

The last line was aimed at you, yes. You've spent the best part of a day accusing me of something I haven't done in order to prevent 'trouble' with a bunch of people with views so abject they hid them behind a wall.

I didn't say you were a victim. At the risk of sounding like a broken record, read what I wrote again. I accused you of misinterpreting plain English to have a go at me in defence of others.

The main point wasn't who was sneering at who, it was the fact that I thought you you posted it to cause trouble. You pretty much said so yourself. Or at least you said you deliberately invited accusations of sneering from another board. Why would you want them on this board to do that? That is what I don't get.

Maybe I don't get your syntax but if this sentence was aimed at me, I can't see where it mentions defending others or having a go at you. And I didn't deliberately misinterprete plain English.

This new line of misinterpreting plain English in order to, once again, turn grown adults who do stupid things of their own accord into victims is tiring.

And I'm sorry if you find me irritating, but if If you keep coming back at me with snide comments and accusations, of course I will respond. As would you.

I'll put aside the syntactic questions as they're getting us nowhere.

The reason I posted what I did was because I'm tired of smartarses from the other board coming on here, moaning about how their political tribe don't get any respect and then eventually saying something that gets them banned because they can't help themselves. Rinse and repeat and nauseam. I wanted to point out how dull I found this.

I then replied to you as I didn't recognise your username and thought you were one of them. Your posting style resembled (to me) the mock incredulity - the "moi, insincere?" tone - regularly adopted. That's been cleared up and for that I apologise.

They have their board, we have ours. They don't let anyone see what they post, while they regularly come over here and wind people up. Taking advantage of Rob's more open policy.

I don't believe for a second they're racist, misogynistic or truly hateful - I just think they're unfunny. I don't like the act I've described above and I don't like the getting banned on purpose business they enjoy. I imagine it's generational.

Fair enough. Maybe I am not as aware of the visitors from another board as you are. We have enough smartie pants of our own.
