League Cup Quarter Finals, who do you want?

Port Vale for me, preferably at home. I've been to Port Vale twice, the first time was when we played Stoke and it was moved after wind damaged the stand at Stoke and the second time to watch Motorhead/Ossie Osbourne!

They would still need to win again after Chelsea to play us in the Semis if that was the case

After the Manchester United v Newcastle game tonight, kicks off at 8:15pm.

So probably about half 10.

Good point. Mark Burke with Wolves maybe too. That would be the Hendrie hattrick match, I think?

I remember Deano getting applauded for scoring a pen against us. I think we were 2-0 up before that and went on to lose 3-2. I don't think the crowd would have been as magnanimous if they'd known how it would end.
 
Anyone know what the dates would be? They said ‘late’ December in the commentary last night.

I’d take anyone at home, if it had to be one of the ‘big’ teams I would fancy us against Chelsea this time around.

Usually the week before Christmas. Remember the penalty shoot out victory at White Hart Lane being a major topic at our family Christmas.....much to my mother's and aunts annoyance!

Yeah looking at the calendar now and we have a free week beginning the 18th, so it will likely be either 19th/20th.
 
Just thinking when was the last time we played Port Vale? Was it really the match where Merson scored in the first minute, then Skippy kept us ahead for the rest of the match?

Seems a very long time ago for a match that was a regular fixture in the 90s.
 
Port Vale at home , definitely don't want to play any of the big boys until our mini Injury crisis is over.
 
Port Vale please, happy wherever the game is staged if we get them. The game I’d take after that is anyone at home. I have a feeling we’ll get blooming Fulham away mind.
