League Cup Quarter Finals, who do you want?

Avoiding a Fulham, Burnley or Bournemouth is the best outcome. All others are either more exciting prospects or more realistic to be able to beat
Worst case is probably away to one of those where we have a 20% chance of progressing, and probably not on tv

Port Vale

But then cup draws tend to throw us Man Utd, then Chelsea.. wouldn’t mind Liverpool in the final.. take care of some unfinished business lol

I think Burnley would be the worst draw, might be demoralising if despite them being rubbish in the prem they come and spank us by a few goals at the Riverside.

Best to have Man U at home I think. Likely to be beat but we could shock them and there's no hangover if we lose to them. Plus it means they have put Newcastle out so that's a bonus.

Port Vale at home.

The only time I’ve ever been to Vale Park, a Vale fan pulled a knife out of his pocket and started shouting and swearing at us. I was 11.

Anyway, we want the most low-key route through the competition don’t we. Vale at home. We would be confident of winning and they’d get a good amount of money so that would be fair IMO.

Best chance of getting to the final is surely Everton or Burnley at home and then the winners of Port Vale v Ipswich/Fulham in the Semi

Everton.......all day.....has to be Everton

Love playing them...its always been edgy and entertaining

I'll be tooled right up though to avenge the Stanley Park slashings in 88😄

Or maybe I'll take a bovril a blanket a pie and reflect on how lucky Everton fans are that I'm too old for the agg...
😊

I can understand those wanting Port Vale, but a big Premier League team at the Riverside or away would really bring the cash in - Carrick returning to O/T etc or Home City.

PV is not a guaranteed win.

Port Vale - They have Connor Ripley in goal though, and Jayson Leutwiler as his number 2.
They also have Big Uche who's guarantied to score - so 2-1 Boro win.

We'll then take Blackburn in the semis after they beat Chelsea tonight.

Port Vale would be nice; it's one of the few other clubs I'd say I like.

That's mostly based on childhood memories of Ian Baird and Dean Glover getting stuck into each other.
I think Deano was about the only returning ex-Boro player I remember getting a good reception back at AP.
