Obviously not gone yet but would be very suprised (pleasantly) if he stayed, who are the names in the frame to replace him ?

Louie Barry
Random foreigner
Premier league loan
 
I have a feeling it's someone we've not heard of. Clearly you can find better value abroad.

You'd think they will have already identified 2-3 options knowing this was coming. It's a case of which one we can get. Especially in January.

Domestically Cannon ticks every box. He'd champo ready and a good age. Also apparently been scouted by us for years. Right back to his U21 days. So we know everything about him. That said we'd be looking at 4-6mil. So a significant outlay.

Now you are talking! He looks very promising. He is kind of like a Doak/Latte Lath hybrid! I think he has played much more central in the last year or so, and goals have come more freely. Before that he was used as a wide forward.

Like ELL he is short in stature but with a great leap. I've seen clips where he out jumps a GK! This would soften the blow of losing Manu, even for £7m - at just 22 he has massive upside.

Also Jakobsen from Preston is up and running again and another handful, who could complement Conway very well.
Archer not getting game time at Southampton
Al Hamdi - Ipswich again would offer a change in attacking intent with both him and Conway.

Would like us to go and take both whittaker and Mvamba I think it is (full back) from plymouth

Jakobson would be a cheaper option aswell conract up.in the summer
 
I imagine with what happened in the summer we have at least two or three players on a short list to replace latte. If not then that’s just very poor planning from the club.

Cannon in talks with Sunderland and it seems the deal is progressing, we need to get our skates on if we want to try and gazump them.
 
Trust the recruitment team. Hardly anybody knew ELL before he signed. Now he is, allegedly, about to be sold for £20m+.

I know goals win games but we have Conway already as a replacement so we’re not “desperate” I guess. Can Coburn be recalled?
 
Well have a long list of players for every position, knowing that if the right bid comes in for anyone we can move onto the next on the list. Obviously negotiations etc may scupper plans but I think the list of targets will be pretty long.
