Last GP of the season

There’s a kind of last day at school feel about today as there’s some drivers in the line up today some like Vettel Daniel, and sainz moving on to other teams and others just moving on.

Interesting starting grid as well with bottas v max still battling for second spot.

Agree about the last day of school comment. I can’t see Bottas throwing away 2nd place, assuming mechanically his car stays fine. I will be interested in how Lewis performs as despite his illness, I am sure he will be itching to improve from his grid position. Lets just hope we have a safe race whatever happens.

I’ve been to this GP a couple of years ago, it’s the dullest most boring circuit in the world. The championship is usually pretty much wrapped up by this point, the whole thing has a ‘get it over and go on holiday’ feel about it. Should be dropped but obviously money talks.

Does this circuit pay the most money to hold an F1 race hence the reason why it's always the season finale?

A few years ago I think Ecclestone tried to make the race more significant by awarding double points.

Exactly. Oil money pays for the dullest most tedious track to stay on the calendar. Shame Petronas’ oil money can’t work the same magic on Sepang would love to see that back.
You can play around with floors and tyres and wings all you like. It means little if the tracks are dull

When I was there in the post race live interviews (not the ones for tv). Several of the drivers went out of their way to comment on how schyte it was, quite controversial I thought. I had full hospitality, including pit lane access and a seat in the main stand bang in line with the start finish line - and it was still ordinary.
