King Charles III

It's going to be difficult for even staunch Royalists to feel the same love and affection for Charles as they did for the Queen.

I'm neutral when it comes to Monarchy vs Republicanism, as I feel both sides of the debate have merit but I did respect and admire the Queen. I can still remember President Obama seeming to be in awe of her when they met at Buckingham Palace and it made me feel proud to think that so many world leaders had such immense respect for our head of state.

I think Charles should abdicate and pass on the Crown to William to be honest, who I feel would genuinely modernise the monarchy.

It's only a small thing but somebody posted a short video clip of William stepping in yesterday and helping the staff to clear the desk, whilst Charles sat there. He's always come across really well to me and I can't help but find Kate Middleton very likeable.

William has the middle name Arthur too, and was born on solstice, a date auspicious to the Ancient Britons
The ancient Arthur doesn’t count on the list

It will shortly be Maundy Thursday when the monarch gives out the Maundy money, 1p for every year of the monarch’s reign.

Since King Charles a) isn’t crowned and b) hasn’t yet been on the throne for a year… how much money will be in the money bag tomorrow?

Think it's the age of the monarch and not the years of reign.

Anyway these coins are highly sought after by collectors.
