It's a really good listen.

I jotted down what I've picked up, some of it is my interpretation of his words:

Villa only became interested in Rogers after we'd played them in the cup match and Azaz was not signed as a replacement.

The Rogers sale actually made transfers more difficult as clubs started asking for daft sums.

Talks are happening with Carrick about a new contract, though he was vague about how that was going.

No decision has been made on offering contract extensions to Howson and McNair yet.

Giles wages put the club off going back in for him in January.

He made a hint that we might be looking at free agents.

Kavanagh wanted to play football and the club didn't think he was at the right level to play in the Championship yet, so he pushed for the move and the club cashed in.

Hackney wants to stay, but the club are aware that there'll be strong interest in him and Van den Berg and they might struggle to keep them if there are big bids.

He also said that a lot of the links to players in the media are just made up by journalists and agents.

Rav van den Berg directly communicated with every big club that was interested in him to let them know that he wanted to sign for Middlesbrough and explained his reasoning for turning them down, apparently about 15 clubs.

Could be the easiest £10-15m we’ve made!

I think Hackney, McGree & Rav will be off end of the season if we’re not promoted. I did wonder why we were linked with centre backs in the window. Thinking maybe Cresswell in, Rav out.

I suspect that random American striker who went to Mexico will be one of the players who we never actually had any interest in.

It was a very left field link.

Doesn’t sound like he ever want to leave! He is at his dream club!

Good to hear about Hackney.. sounds very much like we want to build a premier league team around him.

We did too well with Cameron Archer.. so we’ll we couldn’t afford him.. and any replacement would pale in comparison.

Spoke of the Akpom’s and the Roger’s that needing replacing..

Sounds like there were quite a few that agents link us with just to get boro fans spreading the word!

I wonder who the players were that were pushed out of reach because of the Morgan Rogers deal?

What free agents could make the squad better without costing an arm and a leg and not needing a walking stick to play?

The two Boro fans tried to get him to rule out Dwight Gayle, and he didn't.

He'd probably make sense as a short term signing to allow Coburn to get treated.

His record at Stoke is shocking, but Stoke have been shocking in general for years.

Interesting that Villa only became after Rogers following the FA Cup game. Someone on here mentioned knowing someone at Villa and said Emery has a tendency of wanting random players and has been talked out of it plenty of times.

Yeah think that was me quoting what someone else had said to me about him.

This was it:
i heard a weird story from someone at villa that emery falls in love with random players in the championship and L1 quite often, and they have to talk him out of asking the club to bid for ephron mason-clarke etc.
