Kentucky Fried Chicken

Rarely set foot in a KFC, but when I do it's got to be a Zinger Tower Burger. *Fire emoji, hash brown emoji, severely abused chicken emoji*

Prefer Popeyes, but only in the States.
The UK franchise is not a patch on it imo.
Similar to Wendy’s and Tim Hortens (Canada).

They somehow managed the outstanding achievement of making their (already absolutely terrible) fries even worse with that chicken salt. If I want more chucked I'd order more chicken, I don't need everything else on the plate to taste the same.

It's mad that after being the butt of jokes for years, the fries are still so completely rubbish compared to pretty much every other fast food joint
Thing is it's really difficult to make them that ****, especially if you're deep frying them, which is like a cheat code.

I just don't get what they're thinking in their product development? The taste tester/ development lead must just get a pass as he's nailed it with the chicken, and they don't want to sack him because of his **** fries. Maybe the Kernel invented the chicken and the fries method, and they won't change the bad one out of respect?

I needed a kebab last night. It was 10:30. I was in South London. I thought there's bound to be a decent kebab shop open. Nothing. The only things open were KFC and German doner kebab. I got a German doner kebab. It was terrible.
On the plus side I did see an Indian place that looked **** and sold chicken curry for a fiver. Smelt very nice. Most of the really good Indian places look terrible and sell their food cheap. The more swanky they look the shitter they are.

i would imagine it's the way they store the fries that makes them crap and soggy.

They can only be freezing them, that's the worst thing anyone can do, but it also is the same thing most restaurants and every fast food chain does, but they all seem to manage.

There's only one real way to do that, freeze them after processing, and then straight into the fryer from frozen?

Normally leaving the starch is what causes soggy chips (in the air fryer at least), so maybe it's something to do with that? 🤷‍♂️

I can do em in the air fryer better, and have the disadvantage of no oil, so they literally must want them that way, for some odd reason?
