Keiffer Moore didn’t fit our model of play - apparently

We’d have probably played him left wing.

What’s annoying as they came out with some nonsense that there wasn’t anyone available when he was staring us in the face. We signed Ayling on loan even though he didn’t fit the “model” yet that’s pretty much the same reason we didn’t sign Moore, or any other similar experienced striker on loan.

Why would he have signed for us over Ipswich??
If he had the choice he would sign for them every day of the week, certainly based on this this season, but they didn’t sign him until late in the window and we were supposedly interested early in the window.

You know that how?
Because Carrick said it

Carrick said: "For us bringing players into the group, it's vital they have to improve you.

"They have to be the right ones for different reasons. It's not a case of just bringing someone in to be a stop-gap or to fill a slot, they have to really improve us and there has to be a really good reason for that. We feel the players we have brought in, we're really happy with. They're here for good reason and we've seen that already.

"Certainly in forward areas we're flexible, boys can play across the forward line, we can mix it up a bit in terms of positioning which is good for us. We certainly feel there's enough goals throughout the team to make the difference."

He would've cost a lot and we would've still had the rest of the squad the same as it is so promotion wasn't on the cards. It would've been a waste of money (even though he would've improved us). We would've needed a lot more signings to improve us to make it financially worthwhile.
