Why do you feel the need to unfairly minimise analysing what on earth is going on with our unelected head of state. If we were in North Korea you’d be one of the party line towing people that grassed people up to authorities for not bowing down to praise the exulted leader before starting a hard days work

eh? Shes not been seen in public so therefore she can’t possibly use her phone or laptop to edit photos like pretty much everyone is capable of doing these days?

The most likely theory is she’s pieced together 2 or 3 similar photos so that every is smiling / looking at the camera / eyes open. You can literally do it with the press of a few buttons in your mobile phone.




What’s your theory? Lizards?

It's supposed to be her that has edited not him. If you choose to believe the origin of that statement on twitter.

I'm not gonna speculate on exactly what has happened, only the facts that the picture released was photoshopped and we aren't talking touch ups.

In it's published format the picture was fake.

The royal angle is that Kate took it upon herself to edit this photo badly, with some unaddressed aim, that was more than just adjusting colours and that caused AP to withdraw it.

It's plausible, but on the balance of probabilities either isn't true or isn't the entire story. moving elements of the image around (or possible blending of more than one image) as has clearly been done, does not fit with the explanation.

There isn't enough evidence to know the full truth of this, unfortunately, so without a whistleblower then all that we have is further distrust of royal statements. But then my trust is already pretty low anyway.

Come on, you must be smarter than that?

Everything that is released is carefully planned, vetted and approved.

Do you actually think she has edited and released this photo as claimed, because I don't for a second.

And yet, as has already been explained, the press don't kill photos on a whim.

If it was as simple as a few pictures stitched together to get all the kids facing the same way then why not just say that and release the originals - there can't be anything untoward in any of them if that is the case.

Stop being silly, you are playing the man not the ball.

Far from it, I've avoided saying what I might think is going on and for me the most likely cause of this is the royals trying to protect her from scrutiny of her illness.

I don't buy the "they've killed her", "she's locked up" or even the "their marriage is unhappy" stories....although the last one could have some truth.

I actually think this is about her illness, and if she is on sick leave, they shouldn't have knocked up a shoddy photoshopped image to try and pull the wool over the publics eyes, let her recuperate without any duties like anyone else in their "job", even though cutting ribbons and smiling isn't really a job.

I don't believe in the concept, power and lack of accountability of the institution, that doesn't mean I have no empathy or objectivity. For example, I find it astonishingly bad that Harry doesn't have protection paid for by the government. He didn't ask to be born into that family and on a human level he and his family should be protected from the scrutiny put on him. That is me showing empathy for a royal and being objective about the risk on his life and using tax payers money to ensure they are safe. I'd happily give 24x7 security details to all royals that walk away, until hopefully there isn't a royal family. Then give the next 3 generations protection.
