I actually loved that album. Switchblade Smiles, Days are Forgotten, Re-wired etc.Seen them live a few times a few years back. Great live band but stopped buying their albums after the awful Velociraptor ("he's coming at ya" )
Run their course obviously.
Re-unite in 5 years and tour with their old stuff.
Really? Great live band, one of my favourites I've seen, but their albums are mostly crap! I only like the first one.Real shame that, one of the great bands of the last 15 years. They all fall out eventually don't they.
I would agree with this. They know how to put on a performance alright! Some of their albums are not great though. That being said I do like “west Ryder ...” and think the self titled one was really goodReally? Great live band, one of my favourites I've seen, but their albums are mostly crap! Hmm, well I think they're a great live band. If you don't like any of the songs though, why do you like them live?Really? Great live band, one of my favourites I've seen, but their albums are mostly crap! I only like the first one.
To be fair they only had 1 album when I saw them live! There’s the odd song from there later stuff I like-Bless This Acid House and Comeback Kid that I can think of.Hmm, well I think they're a great live band. If you don't like any of the songs though, why do you like them live?
Think this is a fair comparison, but I do think most albums have 3-4 excellent tracks on. I thought Velociraptor had a number of good tracks (not the title track).I always compared them to Queen, In that they are brilliant live but most of their albums are just a bit "meh" at best with one or two good tracks.
Luckily I saw them in smaller venues (Wolverhampton Civic Centre & Newcastle Academy twice).Great gigs, although the pint of pi$$ that landed on my brothers head at the Academy was a bit unnecessary
Yeah to be fair I was talking more about the song Velociraptor rather than the whole album. There is 2 or 3 really good ones on there. Switchblade Smiles is superbThink this is a fair comparison, but I do think most albums have 3-4 excellent tracks on. I thought Velociraptor had a number of good tracks (not the title track).
Agree about the title track though, thats poor.Yeah to be fair I was talking more about the song Velociraptor rather than the whole album. There is 2 or 3 really good ones on there. Switchblade Smiles is superb
