Just watching Cummings live on TV

Not sure if I believe he wasn't tested either. Surely if there was people associated with No.10 who had the virus he would likely have been tested.
 
Durham Police just altered the information they gave to BBC on Saturday. They are now saying they never spoke about lock down rules but only spoke about security issues. Begs the question why they went to the farm in the first place anyway.

After all the repetetive questions why didn't anyone ask the obvious

1 Why did you not get tested ?

2. Why didn't you just get a a government car/driver to take you there ?
 
So if he didn't meet with his family why did he feel the need to drive all that way
After all the Government had put measures in place for those who fell ill and were isolating. Maybe he had no faith in the Government.
 
His reasons for trips were quite convenient, that said I can’t imagine the $hit he gets shouted outside his house so maybe thought it wouldn’t be safe for that reason too.

All in all quite plausible and given if there is evidence of any further trips etc it will get pulled apart as some have said on here earlier - he has played his hand and we will see what comes out in the wash in the coming days, if nothing turns up to refute any parts of his story he should be ok. If the rumours about his son having ASD is correct I feel he has done the right thing and would have probably done the same if I could. He’s not stupid and would have imagined this happening and still did it anyway.

That was the biggest car crash of a press conference I have seen on TV.

Alistair Campbell was straight on it saying he will contact the police in regards to the security issue and also picked apart the statements about when he spoke to Boris when leaving for Durham and over the weekend.

James O'Brien had an interesting tweet that Mary's birthday was the same day as the day they went to Bernard Castle.

Piers Morgan (can't wait to see him on GMB tomorrow lol) tweeted he exposed his 17 year old niece to getting sick and how Hancock can defend a man who went completely against his 'stay at home, save lives' messages.

Fat @rse won't sack him, he's an absolute coward.
 
I thought he did ok under circumstances he’s clearly not comfortable in front of the camera. Very patient in answering the repetitive questioning. If you didn’t hate him already I think he came across ok.

Plausible explanation for his actions - not sure about the tripto Barnard or that he can’t remember if he got petrol, oh and can’t remember his conversation with Boris.

if he’s telling the truth he might survive by the skin of his teeth, if there are proven falsehoods in that account then he will be gone.

some of the press asking the questions are t very flexible. if your question has been asked by the previous person maybe change your question?

interesting that the police chose to change their statement just as he was due to start.

As mentioned by others I cannot cannot understand why he was never tested throughout this whole saga.
 
Journalists involved were boring, repetetive and unimaginative. After the feeding frenzy based on some misinformation they were the ones who came out of it badly.
Their whole agenda has been to get the head of Cummings. And chalk it up as some kind of victory. They failed miserably other than to bore us all in to submission.

Kuennsberg and Peston were a waste of oxygen, the others certainly got the knives in.

I can't see them letting this story go, if it continues to go on into next week, he's a goner,

What staggers me is the intelligence of the press, surely if your question has been asked you then change your question and not stick to your script and just ask it again anyway.
Biggest fail was the girl seeming to blame him for having the option of a cottage to retreat to when others don’t - I’m not sure that’s his fault love.
