There shouldn’t be a space before the comma after Middlesbrough in your first sentence, but there should be a full stop at the end of the sentence. ’Its a boro forum’ should be it’s and there shouldn’t be a full stop after the question mark. There should be a space before illiterate. I`d should be I’d and there should be a space before UTB and a full stop after it.

Just thought I’d mention it since you brought up the illiterate thing.

I've said it before - you don't need to be a "lefty" to abhor the current government.

Exactly. I've been active on this board and the previous for 20 years. It has always been at it's best when debating a wide range of subjects. Bloody hell we need to as Boro have been awful at times.

In 20 years it's also not unusual for someone to post something similar to the OP.

This post and thread is also pretty boring. Why not start an interesting thread instead?
 
This period of the year is always dead on here.
Season over, transfers dead until start of July, no new kit, or sponsor, club schtum on future plans, players and staff away, no press conferences.Simply put there is no news. Even the speculation is dull.
No internationals/tournaments. People are all footballed out.
Cricket hasn't got going.

People then focus on the rest of their lives, the stuff they don't predominantly come on here for.
The number of threads reduces, the number of posts reduces, the number of posters reduces.
Until there is something to get us all going again.

I spend too long on here and think I post too much (I'm ahead of you here Nobby), but Jesus when I look at the number of posts made by a lot of posters I can't believe how long they must spend and how active they are.
I'm also not active on twitter, facebook or any other social media platform.
This time of year I do withdraw from the board quite a lot, which is a good thing; but I know I will get sucked back in when the first players start to get signed or sold.

I wonder if there's a board on the Internet where people can go specifically to discuss spelling and grammar? I bet that'd be full of riveting threads.
 
I don't understand why people take themselves so seriously on here.
If the board annoys, irritates, upsets or bores you then just stop visiting.
There is no need to announce it or explain your reasons.
Unless of course you're one of THE TWO. In which case we do need to know immediately or the board will go into meltdown with speculation and worry.

Exactly this. There are two other Boro boards that have the politics he likes and neither of them ever talk about football. It's just sexugenarians threatening to 'fill each other in' in between complaining about how much a pint of Madri costs.
