Just finished watching The Boys

It's class. The 3rd season was unreal. June was a good month for watching shows airing weekly. The Boys and Kenobi. Perfect start to summer 2022 for me.

Absolutely love it. Homelander is such a great villain.

Started reading the books too. Would definitely recommend them if you enjoy the series

Homelander is so despicable it's untrue, but he's also exactly what a real life villain would be in his position.
For the most part he's normal, then he just ramps the evil upto eleven simply because he can.
I look forward to how they capture the current American zeitgeist in season 4 as they've plenty of lunacy going on in real life to use as inspiration.

Season 4 on Prime

Only 3 episodes though so far

Good excuse to rewatch the 1st 3 seasons
Thanks for the reminder. Will finish Sweet Tooth tonight and then start on the Boys. Not even seen a trailer yet so hopefully a crossover with Gen V at some point.

There's a subtle hint in the third episode that at least 2 Gen V characters will be appearing in Season 4.

It's a good job we were given a recap, it's been so long ago that Season 3 finished i'd almost forgotten what had happened!

Slightly off topic but I'll give a shout here for Anthony starr's previous series "banshee".

Absolutely excellent. Probably my fave series , and I've seen all the usual suspects ...sopranos / break bad etc.

Red blooded males will love it ;)

Im 2 episodes in to season 4 and am pretty disappointed with the first two . Lots of distracting side stories adding little value , and a bit formulaic in the shock value . Hope it picks up

It doesn't.

Eric Kripke has announced that Season 5 will be the final season, so looks like they're spinning their wheels until then.

I could be wrong of course, but it's starting to look like they're following the end of the comic book, which I desperately hoped they were going to avoid

Created by Eric Kirpke so you will see lots of actors who were also in Supernatural. Jim Beaver (no jokes please) plays Bobby Singer in Supernatural and Robert Singer in The Boys, so a bit of a in-joke.

Gen V if it returns will have to be changed as one of the young actors Chase Perdomo was killed in a motocycle accident.
