Jota From Villa

I just don't see him getting much game time at Villa, nor a premier league club taking him.
So a big option for him is the Championship, where he shone previously.
And so why not us?

I literally had no idea he was at Villa, thought he was at Brum still. He was the golden boy of the championship a few years ago, Villa really did try and buy all the best players of the championship the 2 years they were down.

Quick google and he’s played 8 times for them since signing in 2019.

If you don't ask, you don’t get.

I an another that wondered where he went to.

He was excellent for Brentford ( arn’t they all ) until they move on.

He definitely fits the bill for us.

Another great Brentford find. He was some player for them and did pretty well at Brum (they wanted shot due to massive wages).

Dean Smith said yesterday they want 2-3 out and maybe 1 more in. So they are looking to move on some Fringe players.

He'd be exactly the 'type' we need. I would prefer a 'floating' No10 type with a bit of creativity than a young out and out forward. We miss someone who can unlock a defence or beat a couple of players and smash one in from 25yrds.

Can’t believe we aren’t in for Marcus Maddison on a free, I know he has a bit of a rep but look at his game, it’s perfect for playing behind a striker in that role Tav has occupied. Most his goals are from when he comes from deep and the guy plays the best through ball in football.

Yes to Jota.

Maddison hardly did much to commend himself at Hull, but maybe that was a sinking ship anyway. I don't think I touch him with a barge pole with his reputation at Posh.

It makes you wonder if he’s got a serious problem with his personality or attitude because he’s clearly talented enough.

Definitely take Jota but I’d definitely take loads of players we’re not linked with.

Maddison clearly got way too up his own ****. He clearly thought he’s worth far more than he was offered by Birmingham when they wanted him in January, and thought he’d get even more when he could go on free, in the process alienating Posh by losing them a fee.
I think the fact he’s now begging someone to sign him will have made him have a major reality check, and will have taught him a harsh lesson. So yea I’d take a chance on him.
Shame we’re not linked with him either.

There's always a reason players like Maddison aren't inundated with offers. Despite his obvious footballing talent, best left alone I'd say. Especially after Morrison last season.

I don't think there's any doubt about his personality and attitude: have a look at the Peterborough perspective:

TBF there’s as many good reports about his character and attitude as there are bad if you look online. Remember hearing a few negative reports about Tomlin before we signed him. Maddison wants to play, he’s desperate if you read reports, that’s the sort of player we need even if they have a chip on their shoulder. Offer him a cheap 1 year deal and he will probably jump at it.

I'm pretty sure we were linked with him when he was still at Brenford, where he didn't fancy being to far from London.
