Just adding to this in view of Neil Warnock's comments about Patrick Roberts being the type of player we are looking at.
A premier league player on loan.

We could do a lot worse.
 
Yep. Roberts or Jota and I will be a happy bunny. Got a feeling he may end up back at Brentford though if they sell Benrahma

Jota has now been released by Villa so on a free , but he is on £40,000 pw so that is the issue for any club wanting him .

As said on another thread not one Championship Club came in for him so clearly his reputation as a bit of disruption in the dressing room has makes his cards.
 
40k a week is an issue. Also being a free he will look to command more as no transfer fee (well his agent will).

I can see him going to Brentford if they sell any more stars. He would be a great signing but this it's a no go.
 
We nearly signed Jota when monk was the manager. He is a Celtic player.

not good enough for the premier league and too big time for the championship.
 
We should have signed him after we went down, he would have been the perfect replacement for Ramirez at the time.

I'd definitely still have him. Jota down the right, Roberts through the middle and Tav/Browne on the left would be exciting. Saying that though I think Warnock will want to stick with two strikers.
