Johnson in Wonderland

Let's start with: "the manifest cruelty (and, most probably, utter illegality) of the Rwanda deportation policy. " Rubbish on both claims.
".. the British public is no longer bound for Wonderland. Rather, it is free-falling into the unknown," Really?
"Hitting rock bottom will be hard." Hmm, she's a mystic, predicting that not only will we hit rock bottom but that it will be hard. Perhaps she should enlighten us further.

You live in Europe and it's "hardly milk and honey for us with regards to the energy/inflation crises but it’s apparent that it is more serious in the U.K.". Is it apparent? Or is that the way it's spun by the EC?
Rwanda policy is cruel and has been ruled illegal.
Yes it's free falling in to the unknown. We've never had a government showing utter contempt for our political system in this way. Who knows how far they will go?
Hitting rock bottom is always hard and it's the way we are heading.
Yes, it is apparent. The poor figures and worse economy bear that out.

Although hang on? Troll trying to defend brexit without facts? Troll using the phrase "EC" instead of "EU" ? Bigoted hatred of Germany? Could this be our resident troll under a different username?

It’s very apparent based on many comparisons published about states of economies and where other inflation is at

Please explain how the Rawanda policy is not cruel. I am interested to understand, thanks.

Wow! Thoroughly left wing mag prints anti-brexit rant by German who is desperate for the BIG state and consumed with anger that we left. Bless! Perhaps he should devote more time to solving his own and other Euro countries problems with their dependence on Putins Gas.

King size deflection and absolutely massive head in sand moment.

You don't have to look very hard to see our economic prospects for next year..19th out of 20 of the G20 ,only beating sanction crippled Russia.
I wonder why were so low down when our great leader Bozo and also the face of modern Britain, Mogg, screams at us on an almost daily basis how great and opportunistic Brexit is/ will be...
Face up to it ( reality) it's a complete and utter disaster...scouring and begging the four corners of the planet for garbage trade deals when most is on our doorstep..... Whoever thinks that's a good idea? Especially when global warming is to relevant....
He's our problem ,with the same to follow, another clueless idiot.

Let's start with: "the manifest cruelty (and, most probably, utter illegality) of the Rwanda deportation policy. " Rubbish on both claims. - the flights were grounded based on orders from judges who found the deportation's to be illegal because of their inability to guarantee the safety of those earmarked to be flown to Rwanda. Therefore as the article claims, the probable illegality of the system has basis in fact not opinion.

".. the British public is no longer bound for Wonderland. Rather, it is free-falling into the unknown," Really? - 4th Prime Minister in 6 years, the biggest ever turnover of Cabinet Ministers in history, in a few weeks time it's likely we'll be on our 6th CoE in 6 years, renegotiation of Brexit deals that appear to be at impasse, trade deals that it's been admitted put British farming at risk, inflation at record levels, taxation yields at record levels, £916 billion in 21/22 yet real time cuts in defence spending, NHS, education, welfare etc, wage stagnation, cost of living crisis, import/export imbalance, to me that again is enough empirical evidence that we are in free fall and manifests as an abdication of duty by the outgoing PM and with the implicit links between the Leadership contenders a taint by association and indication they do not have a plan to reverse that tailspin.

"Hitting rock bottom will be hard." Hmm, she's a mystic, predicting that not only will we hit rock bottom but that it will be hard. Perhaps she should enlighten us further. - Outlined above are the reasons that many believe that we are in a recessive situation and it's difficult to counter argue that we have yet reached the economic nadir and as the cost of living crisis deepens, continuing rise of inflation and additional pressure on already stretched resources it's going to impact on more and more households.

You live in Europe and it's "hardly milk and honey for us with regards to the energy/inflation crises but it’s apparent that it is more serious in the U.K.". Is it apparent? Or is that the way it's spun by the EC? - In the 3 European Countries with comparable economies then the figures would seem to indicate that it is indeed more serious in the UK, the current inflation rate is 9.1%, in France it is 5.8%, in Italy 7.3% and in Germany it is 8.7%, across the EU the rate is averaged out at 8.8%, in terms of economic growth the UK is forecast to grow by 2.1% this year compared to 2.7% across the EU, with France having 3.1% growth, Italy 2.4% and Germany 1.7% those are facts not opinions.
Now everyone is entitled to an opinion, lets say something like we think Harry Maguire is a better footballer than Harry Kane, is something that is debatable and entirely subjective, if you say you think Maguire is a better finisher than Kane, again there are direct comparison's available that allow that to be subjective but if you say you think Maguire will score more goals in his career than Kane then there is a direct metric that can be used to prove this is an opinion held in good faith but one that unless something drastic happens will be proven to be totally wrong.

Well I know my energy bills have risen by about 25% year on year. What about yours? My mother bemoans the rises in grocery prices whereas my shopping costs roughly the same as it has done for a couple of years. I pay €1.25 for petrol (30% more than last year). What about you?

Have you seen the French subsidy on the energy price rises for example?🤔

So list those brexit benefits.......

You are quite correct. I am happy to confirm that Anette Dittert may well be both a woman and German.
that's quite weird that 52% of this country were for Brexit, but you seem to be under the illusion that every German, 100% of them are going to automatically be against Brexit. Prejudiced much?

Sending people who have arrived here to a third party country with a history of social issues towards immigrants, could very well be described as cruel. As for legality, there is an assertion that it might be illegal, not a strict claim, and it is something that has and will continue to be tested in courts. So YOU may not like the comment, but it isn't a false comment.

".. the British public is no longer bound for Wonderland. Rather, it is free-falling into the unknown," Real
Feel free to give the business case for Brexit, that defines the strategic approach and the expected outcomes from brexit......I've been asking for this for at least 6 years and have yet to see it. Without a proper strategic business case and plan, it is the unknown.

Well our economy is fairing badly, worse than our competitors, hitting rock bottom is a view that at some point it will stop failing and we can take stock of the outcomes of this governments choices. That doesn't take any mystical powers, it's just the reality of where we are and the direction our economy is heading. by most key metrics. Of course the public might be too blind to analyse and accepts we are in a bad place economically....I can certain see one person who could be blind in that moment.

I guess there is an argument that the Tories imposed sanctions on our own country.

You ignorant right wing fcuk.
Well it took a while. Whilst many have an agenda they manage to keep what little alternative debate there is to an intelligent level. Unfortunately this one has lost it completely. Even so, I'm not so wounded that I'll go running to admin. It's the board's worst kept secret that a prominent number of regular posters are still riled by Brexit and hate the Tories with a passion. How would an occasional visitor ever guess, apart from the near endless need to link stories that support their views. Are they trying convince themselves? Possibly convert a waverer? Or those who a different view but don't post because of the inevitable pile-on?

The "pile on" is because any rational person can dissect your comments and see them as ridiculous.

If you want to say contentious and ignorant things on a messageboard, you will be challenged, such is life.
