It has been confirmed it was an NHS operation and according to their spokesman it had "been arranged for some time"Well I doubt he gets private medical insurance as part of his job, as many people have - that would be a political disaster were MP's to not rely on the NHS.
As for his wealth, that's debatable given the constant pleading of poverty and canvassing for donations to do his house up, or feed his family. Spawns of children don't pay for themselves you know...
