It’s an amazing fact, that the Sydney Harbour Bridge, built 100 years ago (give or take) took 8 years to build, contains 60000000 rivets. Each riveter had A catcher, catching semi-molten rivets in an asbestos glove, thrown from a mini-furnace from yards away. There was only one fatality during the whole process, and that was a novice employed by one of the foundries at the base of the bridge. No harnesses, and not one person fell from the bridge.
