Definitely not a ODI cricketer.
Cant field to safe his life.
Australia back over here next year.
Get Ben Stokes in as captain ASAP
 
Would rather have Ben Stokes focused on himself and doing what he does so well. Not having to think about everyone else too.
 
He's not done it for a while at test or 1 day level. I think he should stick to test cricket. I just dont see him as a one day destructive batsman. He does rotate the strike but not a boundary machine.

We need to get David Malan in somehow. He's in such form he needs to get In. He's not gonna replace Stokes so you'd see Root as the most under pressure.

The top 2 is as much as an issue. Roy / Bairstow or Butler. That's a major decision pre T20 WC
 
What happened to Alex Hales? He was always destructive but n ODI’s but seems forgotten about.

I Would like to see Malan given a go somewhere also. Imagine Banton will be the next batsman they try and blood properly into the odi side?
 
We are world champions and shown again we can beat any team in the world, hopefully root will rediscover his form, if not there's plenty of talent out there.
Barton is definitely one for the future.
And think further ahead Thompson looks like the next one off the Yorkshire production line.
