Can anyone tell me the significance of what Mr Hunt is wearing on his lapel below the poppy?

Thanks 👍

He should be embarrassed wearing that might as well wear a medal for finishing the great north run

Thank you homer.

What a Charlie he looks (and should feel) then.

This is not a political comment, and I have never been in the forces: Is wearing your father's medal a thing?

I think it's become a more common thing in recent years for Remembrance events, especially if the family member in question has died.

It should be on the right breast though, to make it clear that it's not your own medal.

So I think Hunt is wearing it on the wrong side.

Though it may be different etiquette since it's not a strictly military medal that he's wearing.

I think its nice to see JH to wearing his fathers medal on such a historic day, it was mentioned not on the correct side, I wouldnt know TBH, but wearing the medal in honour of his father & those that fought & died while in service is a nice touch, one which I would think his father would have been happy he's done
