Jeff Stelling

It’s been finished for years now, Jeff was the only decent thing on there.
As mentioned, the quality of the pundits is dire at best, Bianca Westwood 🤣
I can remember her being at a ground somewhere and they cut to her for an update on a goal…. She said something along the lines of “and he kicked it in the goal”

I seem to recall Jeff Stelling considering retirement maybe 4 or 5 years ago. Doesnt he normally go to the Carribean for the summer and I remember him talking about whether he would return.
It will be the end of an era. TV bosses are obsessed with change arent they. Maybe it justifies some of them in employment.

Didn't Stelling have prostate, or testicular, cancer a few years ago which prompted a "retirement" plan?

Talking about poor the pundits on sky

I’ve just heard Jamie redknapp say that kalvin Phillips has been a great signing for Leeds.

So that would Leeds born and Leeds academy protege kalvin Phillips then Jamie

I remember him assuring his audience that a player had ”been skinned alive out there - literally “

I can’t bear to listen to the man.

He reports from the grounds, usually league 1 or 2
RobM was reporting from Leyton Orient/Hartlepool I think yesterday. Did Rob have a lot of medical problems?

Ref Jeff Stelling going - he will be very difficult to replace. They do have stand ins at present but its not the same. Character and personality are not something you can teach or acquire. For good or bad.

On Wednesday night I was stopped walking along the street near Charing Cross Station in Central London. A lady in her 60s said my name (and I am not famous) and I looked round in the dark and looked at her, and said Val ***********! She was on a short London break with her family. I had not seen her in 10 years, but for 4 years, from 2003 to 2007 I shared a small office with her. She said she recognised my voice and character in the dark on a crowded street in London, many miles away from where we live. I think it was a compliment, but it could have been the opposite. We chatted in the middle of the pavement for a while. I guess Jeff Stelling is like that.

I have a mate who is (very) partially sighted and he says he can locate our group in the pub, or other social settings, by listening out for my laugh.

I take this as a compliment, although I am not sure it it! ;)
