He's astonishing.

To perform at that level and be able to link scores, presenters, facts, figures and humour at 66, without missing a beat is unbelievable.

He's gonna be a huge act to follow.

I also think the show has gone downhill, via the 'experts', this year.

The Media at all levels are trying to hard.
Quality of presenter is sadly not the most important factor anymore

Nothing is the same anymore, quality of the pundits is awful,useless mix of 'politically correct ' people rather than those who are actually any good at the role.

It’s been a **** poor show since they sacked off Thompson, Nicholas and Le Tissier. I reckon Stelling wanted to go when they did and he’s tried to make it work but is fighting a losing battle. They had Clinton Morrison and Darren Bent on today, sorry but they are absolutely awful pundits. Morrison especially.

Having said that I do still enjoy the likes of Bianca Westwood, Chris Kamara and some of the other reporters at the ground like Mark McAdam, they are excellent.

Wouldn’t surprise me if they scrap the programme entirely and start again with an new format. To just about everyone I know Soccer Saturday is Jeff Stelling.

End of an era for sure, but I don’t think it’s had it’s day due to Le Tiss, Thomson etc leaving, more so the emergence of streaming, iFollow etc. I can’t remember the last time I watched it for from 3pm to 5pm as I’m either at the match or watching it being streamed at the pub! I’m sure it’s the same all over the country especially for PL fans.

It peaked late 2000s for me. It was always going to end one day, I’m sure Jeff will get another gig somewhere else.
