Jacob Greaves in contract talks...

This has shocked me massively, unless its just his agent in his ear wanting assurances if they don't go up they'll help him leave next summer. Really can't see why the lad would leave Hull (boyhood club, dad has a history there, they're making big transfers, fans seem to think they have a chance etc real feel good factor) to join Boro who have had a tame start to the season, have lost two big names for big fees without reinvesting, not sure on this but i do like the look of him and i'd love us now to go out and fire another bid in, and just see what happens.

Hoppe, Greaves, Larsen, Muniz on loan, Mowatt on loan - that'll do before Sunday please Boro
Chances are there are clubs other than us in for them. Or Hull want to tie him down to a long contract while he wants a release clause.

The sad fact is that we can't compete with the parachute clubs, nevermind the premier League ones.

Bournemouth,Burnley, Norwich, Fulham. Possibly include west brom in that. All twilight zone clubs. Not good enough for the premier League, too good for the championship.

Have we ever been in for Muniz?

Have we ever been in for Muniz?
No, not that i've seen anywhere really this is purely from speculation because his social media liked a few Boro stories/messages so he's the one i dont mind us not signing but i DEMAND we have Hoppe, Greaves, Larsen and Mowatt for Sunday

Fingers crossed he`s heading out the door at Hull and coming to the Boro(y)
It will be a major breakthrough if he and Hoppe sign this week.
I think the Greaves one will be a drawn out transfer. You'd think as soon as he's turned a contract down they'd want to get him out and a replacement in, but i think they'll try to persuade him to stay.

We'll sign Greaves & sell Fry....
It will then mean though that we'll have to sign another CB, as we'll only have 4 centre halves at the club.

There is that option of playing Bola LCB but he hasn't exactly looked convincing playing there in these opening games.

Why - Fry is better than both Lenihan and Greaves from what I can see!
Never been a big fan of Fry and if we can get half decent money for him and reinvest it into the team i'll be happy.
I seen someone suggesting we would be looking at DOUBLE what we got for Tav/Spence for Fry. I think we'd be lucky to get half.

There's a dearth of decent English centre backs nowadays....
You maybe surprised what we get for him....

People pinning their hopes on McNair in midfield and Akpom up front. This is 2022, not 2019. Both of these are downgrades on last season when we weren't good enough.

Is this the same Fry that had both Ronaldo and Kane in his back pocket?
I'm not sure, if he did and he was as good as you believe i'd question why he can't get in our side and why there isnt a queue of top sides looking to break the bank for him when almost every PL side has signed a centre back this summer, nobody has even been publicly linked with Fry?

I saw that Kane did not get a kick and isn't he injured at the moment although I will give you that Preston away was a poor performance.
