Added to the list of keeper targets according to Alan Nixon. Tom Heaton move is apparently on hold due to United letting Dean Henderson go.

Thoughts?

What happened to him? 10 years ago when he broke on the scene he looked like he was destined for big things, but has had a decent career but not spectacular. Still only 29 though so just coming into his peak as a keeper. I wouldn't be totally against this one as he must of had something about him to get the England caps he did at a young age. Maybe a risk worth taking especially with the new goalkeeper coach we have brought in from Man U(has the new goalkeeper coach been confirmed I can't remember if it was or not?)

Boro has to be the best move for Dean Henderson for me. I think we should go all out to get him.

Butland needs to find his fire again, did he believe he'd arrived... & just stopped applying himself?

If he can be hungry to regain his motivation, then there is a keeper in there.. if,

He aint going back to Blues...

Crystal Palace keeper Jack Butland is reportedly not interested in returning to his boyhood club amid interest from Middlesbrough, according to journalist Alan Nixon.

This news comes after it was reported last week Blues had made a shock loan move for the 29-year-old.
Blues had been hoping to bring Wolves stopper Matija Sarkic back to the club however with John Ruddy leaving Molineux, his future has been cemented there for now.

Butland started his professional career at Birmingham and his form earned him a move to high-flying Stoke City at the time.
Currently at Palace, Butland spent most of the campaign in the shadow of first-choice keeper Vincente Guaita and could well drop down the pecking order even further if a move for Sam Johnston materialises.

Rangers and Bournemouth have been said to be monitoring Butland, however, it seems a move to Middlesbrough looks the more likely as manager Chris Wilder is expected to ‘sell the project’ to the stopper. *

* Chris Wilder is just the man to "sell the project"(y)

Stoke fans are w*nking themselves silly over the link to us. They think it’s hilarious as he will cost us a lot of points seems the general consensus since he broke his ankle is if it’s on target it’s a goal, so basically a Bettinelli. He’s also useless with his feet so would be a strange target for Wilder.

Much prefer Darlow if I’m honest or Even Heaton for a season but would be obviously get right behind Butland and hope he finds old form. It’s a risky one that could be a good one but not sure we are in a position to take a risk, need to get it right

I dont think Stoke City are in any position to offer us advice on anything.
Given their miserable track record, they would be better looking at their own problems - they`ve got plenty.
Their goalie "Bursik" looked a right plank when we put 3 past him in May!
