"I've been told that an offer has been accepted"

It's a no brainer for him, gets to play in the Premiership against the top players for a season and showcase himself. Otherwise he'd have to slog it out in the Champ for another year which we all know is a hell of a tough league to get out of. It's not a loyalty thing, he's done it for his career. There's risk in football, he could get a bad injury this season, anything could happen, you have to take the chances that come along.

There are a couple of benefits for Tav staying here for another season, as I see it. Mainly, he has progressed leaps and bounds under Wilder in a reletively short space of time. I think another season under him would benefit Tav immensely and probably set him up for a move to a premiership club who wouldn't be fighting at the wrong end of the table.

“Closer to London”

Ah yes the old….. all us northerners pine to live in or near London line that always gets trotted out by the southern press.

Well I’ve got news for you……we don’t.
Lol, of course not, but most footballers do. Its just the way the cookie crumbles, Bournemouth is a more desirable place to live, he'll have more money, it may be hard to swallow but players by and large don't want to move to the northeast, were cut off, not much to do other than play football, unless you enjoy walks and nature etc.

Were closer to major cities than Bournemouth.

Im not really sure there's that much to do in bournemouth to be honest. Its hardly a bustling metropolis.

How old are you Jedi?

I know as a young man I wanted to be where the bustling nightlife was. An that’s not Middlesbrough. You’re speaking from a personal perspective, not the perspective of a 22 year old with high disposable income.

Do you know where Bournemouth is?

Yes, it’s in the more affluent south where there is generally a better quality of life.

You can all deny it’s a factor as much as you like, why do you think we tended to sign older more experienced players? Because the party days are behind them.
