Bit late to the party here but I was amazed to watch a Brentford match the other week where Toney was playing.

Surely if there's evidence an offence has been committed he should be suspended pending investigation? Any inquest/trial would only consider mitigation is my understanding, and that the actual evidence an offence (or multiple) has taken place are already in possession of the authorities?

That's madness - so he's broken the rules yet can continue to play. Presumably the hearing is to address the punishment but surely the rules should contain some guidance along those lines?

Why wasn’t he picked for the World Cup then?

Callum Wilson was still in decent form and had been part of the group before.

Now Callum Wilson is in rubbish form and Toney hasn't stopped scoring.
