It's time this lot went....

They have had our money over the centuries and now we find out they bend the law to suit themselves.
There should be no place in our society for this lot when people need foodbanks and are given a few quid a week to survive on if they become ill or lose their jobs. And that is when they are lucky.
Who the fk elected them in our so called "democracy".

It's always been the same. They have persistently had influence over politics. I mean the queen meets the PM every week, it's undeniable. It is utterly democratic, the French and the yanks saw through it, most of our lot haven't sadly.

....and lets not forget when Charles got caught meddling with the 'black spider' letters sent to ministers and civil servants. The Tories, immediately changed the law to exclude the royal family having to comply with the Freedom of Information Act, so they could never be caught again. I mean that is 100% evidence that they a) do meddle in politics for their own benefit and causes, b) they deflect from accepting that is what they do, c) they close down any access to information that can catch the again.

It's disgraceful and indefensible by any but the most deluded.

You cannot serve in the forces unless you vow allegience to the Queen. Yet ex forces are living on the streets, suffer mental health problems and have even starved to death due to lack of money to buy food, after having served these odious people to ensure that they lived their lives in absolute wealth and luxury.

That needs to go. Leads to that fascist wing nut who said he would refuse to serve if Corbyn was elected. Inference that the militray should overthrow the elected government. He should have been discharged one minute after he said that or even better court-martialled.

Allegiance to the people through their duly elected representatives.

The very idea of a royal family is absurd. What makes a bunch of inbred people better than the likes of people on this board?

A small minority of so called "royals" had Europe fighting each other for hundreds of years and for what? Their own ego and agenda.

Arguably, the last truly "British" monarch was Queen Anne of the House of Stuart she died in 1714, since then we have had the "House of Hanover" and then the "House of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha" who renamed themselves "Windsor" in 1917 after a few years of disagreement with our German chums and growing anti German sentiment. This anti-German sentiment has most recently manifested itself in "Brexit" and ironically in increased devotion to the Windsors among its proponents.
