It's finally got me

Tested positive on Sunday after coming down with a sore throat and finding out someone I was sat with at work last week had tested positive. Terrible sore throat and cough initially just really tired now. Triple jabbed so wonder what the antivaxers feel like when they get it!

My toddler brought it home from pre-school last week and after plenty of snotty sneezes in our faces, the little buggar got us both last Wednesday. Luckily we’ve had normal cold type symptoms, although wife has horrendous cough but then she always gets one following a cold. I think I’m pretty much over it now, just tired.
I was enrolled on a trial for one of the new antivirals although I’m not sure whether they helped me knack it or not. Biggest challenge I’ve found is being stuck in the house while poorly, with a fully recovered and very active a toddler!

Best wishes to all on this thread who are currently suffering with it. Hope it passes through you all quickly and uneventfully!

I don't feel too bad today but went outside to water the plants in the greenhouse and it set off a coughing fit.

I sat under the quilt all day yesterday and binged watched 'The Long Way Round.'

If by 'anti vaxxer' you mean someone who decided against taking a vaccine, then I can let you know that I felt pretty fine (a tickly throat and feeling slightly under the weather for 24 hours) and have had far, far worse colds. If it wasn't for regular testing for work I wouldn't have known I'd had anything. It was back in December and I did the 10 days isolation but by day 3 I felt completely normal.

I am still testing positive and don't seem to be able to shake off this horrible cough. Other than that, it hasn't stopped me from doing tasks in the back garden - painting the fence, digging the borders over and pricking out and potting on my seedlings.

I think I might get a gold from the RHS this year. ;)

No match for me today.

I've felt rough since going out on Friday and have just completed a LFT and it's tested positive. As a family, we managed to avoid Covid throughout the heights of the pandemic and have followed all social distancing rules. I have avoided any crowded areas but decided to go to the match on Wednesday and out for a few beers on Friday night. Saturday morning I felt rough but just thought it was the amount I had to drink - I'm certainly not used to it anymore. Over the weekend I developed a sore throat and a cough and complete a test this morning which showed positive.

I have had worse cold symptoms and regularly suffer from a chesty cough at this time of the year through my year's welding.

I have just read up on the rules of Covid and it seems that I have to isolate for five days from taking the test but only if I want to. If I choose to go out I need to take steps from spreading it - how mad is that part.

So it looks like my Easter weekend is going to be spent indoors or pottering in the garden and

Me too. Returned today from 28 days off social media and just seen this thread but like the OP, I went out last Friday for a funeral and to the Hull City game on the Saturday, and then tested positive on Tuesday afternoon. Tested again on Sunday and still positive.
My symptoms have been a spongy head, fatigue and excessive urination.
