I’d support protests against excessive police brutality, however I think the examples they use are poor. In all cases I’ve seen, when the police have shot they’ve had reason to. The only tragic case has been the breonna Taylor case where they raided the wrong house.
Ive heard a couple of stories now from teachers at inner city schools which have been 90% black students. They say the schools (Or at least their particular school) are better funded than any of the ‘less diverse’ suburban schools. The kids are a lost cause no matter how hard you try to teach them and they just destroy any of the equipment they get given. I’ll try and find the story.
I’ve seen videos from black Americans who feel the same way about BLM as I (and many others do), that they’ve never seen any of this ‘systemic racism’ at any point of their lives.
My problem with BLM is these outrageous things they come out with seemingly just as an excuse to get mad. Shouting at white people accusing them of being slave master descendants. Demanding $200m per family in reparations, committing blatant crimes on camera, getting arrested and screaming police brutality. They will stand at intersections and block off cars then smash them up if they try to drive through. They totally destroyed blocks of Seattle With that ‘autonomous zone’. There were rapes, murders and assaults. And early on in the protests the people I was watching were walking around shouting that they should ‘Only loot white owned businesses’.
My feelings on BLM are is it’s Possibly the most racist movement I’ve seen in my lifetime. I don’t even care if they want ‘black only this or national black day’ or whatever. I hate the hypocrisy of it all that should whites do something remotely similar it’s shot down as racist and evidence of white supremacy.
