not to suffer the geordie champions league love ins on Tues Wed night on Look Tyne ( it's all myne) that we had to endure last year.:sleep: On the home matches it was 20 mins easy each time on the toon econonmy due to hotels bars and restaurants having some johnny foreigners visiting and spending money, and on the away legs it was , hey lets look at these daft geordies at the airport and interview some. Imagine barcodes qualified again for this year where there are 2 extra games in first section isn't there ? Dodged a bullet there. I'm happy again to watch Dawn or Carol on a Tues/Wed night knowing they will have to be absoluteley on it to leverage a geordie footy story for the evening. Happy and calm I am now

Was replaced by the league cup game tonight with chelski , and a bit of complaining about the financial restraints they have to endure
 
I saw that as I was writing :ROFLMAO: but to be fair it wasnt 20-25 mins and was just a bit from the manager and a standard report around it , all within the sports section - that's fair enough . Last years features took over the whole programme bar 5 mins.
 
Just caught the two goals. More than a trifle lucky on both.

Chelsea have been pretty dreadful from what I've seen.
 
I've stopped watching both BBC and ITV local news as it's so Newcastle-centric. It's assumed by the local tv stations that Newcastle is "The North East", and all the people in the region are Geordies and Skunk fans. The Tees Valley has no identity with either of the local tv platforms.

You're not helping matters by using the term tees Valley its an utterly meaningless concept of place which didnt exist 30 years ago. Teeeside wearside tyneside Darlington hartlepool Durham are places that people identify. Ive yet to meet someone whos says i am from tees Valley
