Good point that. The whispers don’t ever help either. Seems to have worked so hard last year to prove himself. And maybe taken his foot off a bit now he knows he’s a nailed on starter.

That’s very true but for me, the problem is wilders relationship with the players.

Gibson though, FFS, has to have someone lined up before deciding it’s not working this time!!!

Gibson, be more forward thinking and more ruthless

Tavernier’s work load has not been replaced, that has to be spread out over the team. Isaiah has more defensive duties and less freedom/time on the ball.

If you are looking for some boro players to have a go at, then at least consider the following..

Clarke - easily turned and slow
McNair - was better out on the left
Fry - needs to shout, speak up, direct
Mowett - looks like an unfit lewis wing
Forss - £3.24m
Hoppe - £2.7m

His final ball is woeful, he hits the first man everytime. He looks frightened to take on defenders and it sums it all up when he was past the Rotherham defender last night but instead of running into the box he turns and brings the ball back.

He’s been found out now and can’t seem to figure out how to change it up. His defending isn’t the best either. Quite often he’s caught out and is left chasing balls. Lots or teams have highlighted this and attack down their left/our right where there is space.

I like Dijksteel as a RCB, RB but not sure as a MF. Positionally think he will be dragged all over a bit too much.
 
Its weird how undroppable he seems. When Wilder came in everyone was saying he would be out the door because he was a winger, then was given a chance at wingback and tbf had a purple patch in December but since then he has been underwhelming to say the least. Yet he never seems to get dropped or hooked. I'd bench him personally. Put Smith in and use Jones pace from the bench as an attacking option.
 
Jones is still a young player and I suspect a confidence player, nothing about the club at the moment is going to build confidence.

Add to that the fact that he is now a known commodity who teams now know how to play.

Many people went over the top about him when he emerged, the usual nonsense stories about all sorts of clubs wanting him and that’s why there is now such a high level of expectation.

He does have genuine quality in his game and for that reason he should continue to feature.

It is for Wilder to build his confidence and get the best out of him.
 
Can’t really blame him. It’s as if the whole team have been coached to pass backwards rather than run at the opposition….

There’s nothing wrong with the system though.

Jones has been very very poor. His touch, his crossing, his willingness to take someone on has all evaporated.
