Is this season finished?

I suppose it’s possible that next season doesn’t happen at all, in which case they could probably finish this season at some point in time.

I'm starting to hope so, it's honestly not worth the risk to human lives to continue it.

Whilst the possibility of continuing the season is still looming in the air, there's always the risk of resuming it too early in the name of money.

I hope not, just from a personal point of view that we have rid the virus
In reality yes the seasons over

I would say no matter when, the present season has to be finished & all leagues, right as low as Stockton have to be completed

As much as I'd love for this season to be declared null in void, I do think it would be unfair.

It's going to create a mentality where in the future some will think 'we're performing well but this could all prove to be pointless if the season is cancelled again'. I know something like this isn't likely to happen again in any of our lifetimes, but nothing should cause a season to just be scrapped.

I think even it's years before football can start up again, they have to finish this season.

I thought lower leagues were already over?
They are, which makes a mockery of football full stop, I posted on this very subject saying, why is Liverpool winning the title more important than Stockton winning the title, all down to money

Gread is good PL, Top 4 including Man Utd

That's like saying why should Liverpool be on TV and Stockton not?

Why should Liverpool have VAR technology and Stockton not?

Why should Liverpool have a massive stadium and Stockton not?

The list goes on.

All leagues are different. If Stockton don't like their league and want to join the likes of Liverpool, all they have to do is win their games, and continue doing so for the next few years.

Or simply, we know you worked your socks off & should have achieved something in your career that you may never do again but your not as important as PL teams, because you don't have VAR at your level & you only have a ground that holds a couple of hundred fans, but it doesn't really matter your level, but chin up

They had almost won their league & a step closer to Liverpool but alas cancelled

I still think it could be finished in July if games were played every weekend and mid week in June and early July and the play offs mid and late July. Then have August off and start again in September.

The Virus is on course to peak late April in the UK if we stay strict. Most of China was in lock down for about 6 weeks. Wuhan was an exception been in lock down for over 8 weeks. The issue is can the UK can be strict, for example I would not allow any more construction work that is not for medical work. In Wuhan cars were banned, plus public transport and only one person per household allowed to shop and then only once every 2 days.

I don like the self pitying Scallys at best , but even I would sympathise with them this time round and understand the pitying .
Christ if it was Boro we’d walk on the FA HQ much like Jarrow crusaders

I’m fairly sure they abandoned the season when world war 2 started and didn’t ever finish it - so it has happened before, albeit a long time ago.
