Is Riley McGree that good?

I think he's fantastic, but the best ability is availability and McGree hasn't displayed that enough this season. If we get a good offer I'd be tempted to sell.

That said, we have to examine why we've had so many injuries as a squad. He may well be a victim of that.
 
Tricky one for me. He's undoubtedly a good footballer - he was very effective for us playing out on the left last season, which is why I'd found it odd that Carrick was choosing to play him as a 10 when he'd come back from injury earlier this season.

His recent injury record does concern me. I'd like for us to take the gamble and keep him, but we need to bring in another player who is capable of playing that role well this summer, so that it won't become too much of an issue for us if McGree gets injured. Greenwood isn't the answer.
 
Only worth keeping if we can get to the bottom of his injury problems and get it sorted.

He’s only started 14 league games this season.
 
Probably our most technically gifted and intelligent player. We should be signing more players like Riley, not selling the one we've already got.

If his injuries are as bad as some fear, he's unlikely to be particularly sellable anyway.
 
Good player. Perhaps Boro could find him a decent airport lounge because it’s obviously not doing his fitness any good sitting on benches waiting for planes and then mainly on benches watching Aussies play.
 
Mcgree is an excellent player, but can suffer if we don't have the right players around him, which has been the case this season at times. If we can recruit well this summer, he will be a huge asset next season.
 
Good player but as highlighted unless we sort the injury business for him and others then we won’t achieve anything.
 
Brilliant player but it’s been a strange season from him. It seems we’ve hardly seen him, and if he doesn’t want a new contract, I expect him to leave in the summer. He won’t get a Premier League move, so it’s either stay or head to a European club.

As it happens, in the last few Footy Manager games I always sell him to the Bundersliga.

How much do you get for him? Hopefully you add some sell on clauses 😂
 
Based on no inside knowledge at all, he'll go to St Pauli. Looking very like getting promoted to the Bundesliga and already got a couple of Socceroos in the team. Perfect for him.

Hope not like, but if we're playing "make stuff up"...
 
He's good, I like him, but of our saleable assets he's maybe one I'd be most prepared to lose, especially if his hearts not in it any more.

However, I don't see much of a market for him. Has he done enough to earn a PL move? Probably not. Can championship clubs pay enough to make me want to sell? Probably not.

For some reason, I could see him in the Bundesliga, but I have no idea if anyone is interested.
