Is Johnson fit enough to stand trial?

Did you tell us before that Johnson approach was gonna cull an extra 35,000 - 70,000 on top of the expected amount so surely you should be happy so far after your dire prediction?

It won’t let me edit my original so just thought I’d add my guess is you post whatever anti government stories you have at the time and forget what you have said. Sign of someone who has no ability to think for themselves and shares things on social media without having to think

Why not address the content in the articles rather than an ad hominem approach ?

It looks like certain members of the Government, including the Prime Minister, were complicit in actions, or more properly inactions, that have cost lives, it appears that Johnson’s focus was misplaced and that he didn’t take this seriously enough, early enough, the missed COBRA meetings, his earlier statements on shaking hands and his Greenwich comments about Clark Kent and seeing the UK as a trade superhero, are examples.

It now seems that PHE have become the Coronavirus fridge that the government are hiding behind, this despite examples of them pushing for more decisive action earlier and the importance on testing, I’m sure there is more to come out on what went wrong and what advice was followed and what advice ignored.

This is not about ideology it’s about incompetence that has cost lives and the seriousness of that transcends the colour of a rosette, each and every government will have made mistakes in this unprecedented situation but given the timing of the infection in this country it does seem we should and could have saved more lives had we done things differently.

The quote from one scientist is telling. Admitting they should have been shouting to the media more (although they shouldn't have needed to). Also, I hadn't realised the Vice President of Taiwan is an epidemiologist.

“Perhaps some of us should have got up in front of BBC News and said you lot ought to be petrified because this is going to be a pandemic that will kill hundreds of thousands of people,” adds Ball. “None of us thought this was a particularly constructive thing to do, but maybe with hindsight we should have. If there had been more voices, maybe politicians would have taken this a bit more seriously.”

His voters will defend him till lose they lose someone dear to them. We lose trust in people that never had a plan to begin with and send cabinet flunkys out tell bare faced lies while people risk their lives.

It will be spun into someone else’s fault and they will get their pitchforks out and join in the witch hunt.... I’m sure Chris Whitty is lining him self up as a patsy... boris after all has suffered him self, conveniently being out of the firing line these past few weeks... even the queens has suffered, she’s had to cancel her gun salute the poor old lady....

I think Copper really really needs to have a look in the mirror here: even for him saying "not as many people died through government incompetence as expected" is just batship crazy

Brilliant satire 👏🏻

So you are saying the only people who can add to a thread has to have an agreed opinion.

It seems 1984 is here.

There is a new clique of say 15 who follow each other around, liking each other and denigrating anyone with a counter view, I would say at uneducated guess, all Pro Corbyn and strong Leavers.

I'm not pro-Corbyn, he was a disaster for the Labour party. This arrogant government clearly made a hash from before the very start of the outbreak reaching the UK and to deny this and slavishly defend them flies in the face of a mountain of evidence.
