Is it ‘stock up’ Saturday

Just bought 4 bread rolls and there are only 2 of us, oh the shame. Did a monthly restock from Bolam's a few weeks ago, no toilet rolls were purchased on that run.

Remember everyone we MAKE TOILET ROLLS in this country - in fact we export them... it's the last thing we would run out of

The missus took something back to Sainsbury in town, out her head in the Hill St centre and turned back straight away.

People must be stocking up on cheap t shirts from Primark ready for the winter.
Suppose people will be panic buying Xmas shopping seen as though Boris and his band of clueless **** wits are intent on destroying Xmas, the economy and the country.

My wife just brought in two extra loaves and a pint of milk to freeze. I asked why and I was dismissed like an idiot. The argument that shops will still be open was pointless.

The interesting bit will be what they are allowed to sell.
Wales went for ’essential items’ which meant many aisles cordoned off in shops (no chrissy decs for instance)
And, they had a bizarre situation where sanitary towels and kids socks weren’t for sale but you could buy a bottle of vodka.
One persons essential (seitan) is another’s eugh ;)

Finny I have not eaten meat for years. My cholesterol has reduced from 7 to 5.2. now for cheese.

I know where you are coming from there - it’s a tough one that
I used to gorge on cheese. Decided to give it up this year.
After a few months we decided as a treat to go for our usual selection. It really was a revelation in that it just didn’t do it for us anymore.
Also, as an aside blood pressure has come down - unintended, but welcome, consequence

Last Lockdown there was no toilet roll to be had for about 6 weeks. I'm sh****ing it this time round.

Though not literally, that would only compound the problem.

How u feeling fella?
Haven’t lost yer cheek, I see
I'm OK. As I've said to a few people in a normal year and without the positive test I would still be at work. Lady Mutt is a bit "worse" in that she feels lethargic and achy. We've both lost our sense of smell and our senses of taste are "odd" in that some familiar foodstuffs and drinks taste differently.

What I do appreciate is how VERY contagious this virus is.

I've been lucky (so far) you may not be, wear a mask, wash your hands (and keep them away from your face) and stay away from peopleas much as possible.
