Is Bola at LCB a possibility?

But hopefully gives Wilder food for thought. He has not told Couldon to find another club year, as far as I am aware, so maybe he wants to have look at him in preseason.
 
Coburn moving on would be a blow to the fans ... local lad at CF is a big player-fan relationship tie ... Coburn is skillfull , knack of scoring love to see him around the first team squad this season ....
 
Definitely potential for Bola to be very effective at LCB.

What helped made the right side so effective was that Dijksteel played almost as much in the right back position as he did in the centre back position. Pretty much a hybrid role and one that's more suited to a strong athletic full back than a more conventional centre back I think.

Obviously it's a key part to getting those "overloads" Wilder likes to try and engineer.

In an attacking sense Bola should easily be able to do the same job on the left. Suppose the question mark is whether he has the physicality to do the centre half side of the role effectively enough. He's no lightweight though, so it's certainly possible.

Interesting and refreshingly honest.

Doesn't sound like we're prioritising a centre mid from that.

Definitely a LCB then, Steffen and two strikers to come.

I assume other options and cover may be loans once the PL teams have finalised their squads in August maybe?

I guess that answers that then!

Given McNair (obviously) can play LCB and that Lenihan can play there too, there's plenty of cover for whoever he does bring in.

I think we'll see McNair in the Howson position a bit, as well as maybe Crooks' role too, if either need resting, or are suspended.

Wonder if Bola has asked for a move if he's not going to be first choice or something.

Yeah, and there’s been rumours on other forums about him being who has been told he can leave. I’m not convinced Wilder is a massive lover of Bola which is a shame but I think the elephant in the room is he’s an out and out left back and we don’t play with one these days

The jumping out of a couple of tackles seems to have wrangled with Wilder a fair bit too.
