Is Bausor holding us back ?

Who knows what his brief/ job description is? Don’t think anyone is in a position to comment to be fair

In my view this guy is one of the problems we have preventing us from progressing as a club with his smug attitude
people used to say exactly the same as this about Lamb despite him agreeing contracts with some of the greatest players in the game at the time. No one on here has a clue if Bauser is any good at his job, as none of us work with him. Gibson hasn't sacked him, so there you go

I saw him in London recently and he was actually smiling. The smug bar steward.

No, I don't know what the op is talking about either..

From the MFC Website:

'Neil, who is predominantly based at Rockliffe Park, is accountable for the day-to-day running of Middlesbrough Football Club and works very closely with chairman Steve Gibson across all aspects of the business, including the football and recruitment side. '

Guess he helps with the running of the club then? And he's also on the EFL board.

He's just a convenient scapegoat when we're struggling or when signings flop because fans recognise his face.

I wouldn't be surprised if that's part of the reason he's no longer in signing photos.

Not his fault these players he has to go negotiate for don't pull any trees up when they're here is it?
He's not the scout he's the guy brokering the deals he's asked to broker.
I remember him trying extremely hard to get Muniz and he covered a lot of ground work in signing the exciting foreign signings in the summer.
Blame the scouts who identify these players and leave him to take the blame for some odd reason if they don't succeed

Same thing was said about Gill and as was said earlier Lamb.. Nobody knows what most people in the club do but does not stop people criticizing.

Gill’s job was Head of Senior Recruitment, that job title alone should say what his job entailed. I’m personally delighted we now have Scott and not what feels like a job for the boys appointment.

Bausor and Lamb are/were Chief Executives.

Has Bausors reign seen a high turnover of mangers, players and staff? Yes. Has Bausors reign seen an overpayment of fees and wages on average players? Yes.

Smugness isn’t a metric id judge him on.

His track record, I’d suggest is.

Overpayment of ”fees and wages on average players” is not a metric. That is a judgement call. And his role isn’t to source players I’d suggest.
