but what is back is Our old friend the drinks break They have crept in again I noticed.

btw it’s not just aimed at him it’s aimed at the players as how do they motivate themselves when they know the guy in charge is rubbish at his job.

Ok thats a different point. Your original premise to which I responded was your comment about him not being bothered because "he knows he won't be sacked"
 
I'm bothered at the time. I was annoyed as feck during the first half yesterday .. but, once the game was over, I turned it off and got on with life. In the past I'd have been annoyed for a couple of days .. but, now? nah .. let them get on with it.

4 quarters isn’t that incomprehensible to me as it’ll give the adverts 3 screening periods through the game . They’ll already call it refreshment breaks ( as they’re doing it now ) . Everyone in the pubs will just go to the bar .It’s money that rules now

It was a wider point as in the players also know he won’t be sacked and so where is the motivation accountability within the club.

Fifa would never sanction it ( or they’d have done it by now) 4 quarter will never happen.

I think that is a stretched comment that basically says Woody just isn't a good enough manager - and I think 99.9% of us would agree with that including probably the players.
 
I'd ignore the drink breaks .. for now at least, anyway .. they've been brought in simply because we're playing football during the hottest time of the year (I think they jumped the gun this year though!) .. and next season there won't be any (if the season is back to it's normal schedule) .. mind you though, if they notice an uptick in certain analytics .. it might be up for discussion in years to come.

Same here. In some way that bothers me because, at one time it would have ruined my week, never mind weekend.

Hope I’m wrong Zorro but FIFA is the reason why we should be worried . Once money gets flashed their way .

Agree it is bearable now . Just fell out of love with the game now and even the Boro don’t float my boat like they once did .
