Iron Maiden last night in Manchester

Seen them in 2014, I'm not the biggest fan in the world but they were incredible that night.

Bit of a flex, I went to college with the Guitarists nephew who is an absolutely lovely lad, one of the very best and he once brought him along to see my cover band at the time play The Sun Inn in Stockton. We played The Trooper which was a regular in our set in front of him and he complimented my playing. All round nice guy, great family and class band
This post is one of the reasons I visit the board. Top class.

Saw them at the Rock Garden when nobody had heard of them.
Bought a copy of the Soundhouse tapes , out of a suitcase sat on a pasting table from Steve Harris , Talked with Paul Dianno, for a short while, just normal lads enjoying what they were doing and really pleased that everyone loved their music.!! Great Days in the Rock Garden back then, not the punk but for me the New wave of British Heavy metal, as it was termed. Def Leppard ( similar , bought " Gett ya Rocks Off " from them ) Motorhead, Saxon, Girlschool, Preying Mantis, Tygers of Pan Tang,

I remember them being quite big in 1980 - 43 years ago - must be pensioners now if original members.

Heavy metal was not my genre, more for Grebos and bikers in 1980.

Not my thing at all but just last night I was with a mate who I haven’t seen for years.

He frequenty has a beer with Janick in yarm
