I think that goes to the finance company to cover their cut instead of an interest charge being applied. This offer doesn’t seem to involve finance so the £5 admin fee is to cover the club cost of taking monthly payments.

Great news. As has been said, crazy that it wasn’t the default offer but well done to the various fan groups for helping push this through.

I hope the people who have written off the fan groups take note that good things can come from cooperation.

My pension doesn’t kick in until the first week in April, so I would have been stuffed with a 30th March deadline. With this new 4 payment plan, it’s made it possible for me to renew with manageable payment amounts. I appreciate that not everyone will be able to afford to take up this offer, and I feel sorry for those who can’t.
Whoever Bob the Builder is at the club, imo has dug them out of a ruddy big hole, so good on them for the initiative.

I really hope the club actuallly start listening and not just say they will/are and then do nothing. I’m presuming sales are very poor, they’ve got away with it previous seasons. Maybe if the chairman’s drink isn’t costly to the club like they said they will offer that out next?

Sunderland have had all sorts of different ideas and methods over the years to get fans through the turnstiles
