Inter Miami v Real Salt Lake

Where do they get off callng them selves "Real". Inter is bad enough but wtf is royal about salt lake city?

Just trying to artificially create a sense of history with their clubs by latching on to well known prefixes and suffixes.

Still better than LA Galaxy though, a predictably arrogant name for that city.

Most of the uniquely American suffixes like Seattle Sounders, Portland Timbers and New England Revolution are decent enough names to me though.

Kansas city wizards was my favourite, shame they changed it.

I've actually seen Tulsa Roughnecks play Reno 1868 at The Greater Neveda Field back in 2020. The standard was shocking, well below Northern League Standards, but despite this the mascot (their Roary equivalent) was helicoptered into the ground, the stadium announcer announced corners like they were last minute winners and the ultras spent more time composing daft dances than they did watching the actual football.

I left at half time with Reno 1-0 up, to go drinking around Reno whilst there was a Hells Angel convention on, which was far more entertaining.

I’ve seen a few games over in America.

Watched DC United play twice - against LA Galaxy and New York.

Orlando before they became an MLS side
