Insulting strangers on a message board

Some definitely get their kicks doing so.
There is one poster on here who is a master of the put down. I imagine he is very proud of it .

If this is a reference to my intemperate “grow up” comment when you started your second thread about yesterday’s referee being from Washington then I accept that was childish and I would apologise. Cardiffdaffs put my feelings in a much more mature manner than I did.

Some people can't grasp that other people's opinions are different to theirs and resort to insults,it's very sad really.

My favourite is ‘I don’t understand’…..

It’s code for…… ‘I disagree and can’t be bothered to try and understand why you think the way you do‘

What’s that all about then as I say I’ll debate anyone but I don’t do insults or abuse.

Up the boro
You posted similar last week. You do leave yourself wide open with some of your posts. Is debate the same as getting upset if someone doesnt agree with you ?

I didn't realise the ref was from up there, I saw a lot of threads regarding the ref and couldn't be bothered to get into the anti women drivel that was probably appearing, but I kinda agree with Jedi's point. Most mags or Mackems who I meet are totally dismissive of us , saying we are irrelevant - the absurdity of this it is a completely biased attitude and a negative one as well. No way should she have reffed our game.

It’s sad @Jedi boro that it comes to abuse and insults, it shows a clear lack of emotional intelligence and arrogance from other posters.

I got both barrels from a lot of posters when we were going through that rough patch because I was positive.

Where does it end though? If the ref is from Derby should they not be allowed to ref us as we’d had a bit of beef with them recently? Better not let a ref from West London ref us either as we don’t like Chelsea. Not a ref from Liverpool either after the Ziege affair.

Sometimes we have to put away the chip on our shoulder and trust people to be professional.

I wouldn't give them the benefit of the doubt, I trust a Derby supporter to recognise he has a beef with us and so correct his attitude to be professional, but then when it comes to our nearest and dearest up the road , they would laugh at the mere mention of Boro, they don't see it, so can't correct a negative attitude.

People take football far too seriously sometimes. I don’t dislike anyone because of who they support nor would any normal adult risk their professional career due to football rivalry.

Maybe we shouldn’t let Greenwood play for us because he’s a Mackem and presumably hates us?

I did point that one out right at the beginning of the first thread about her. The mackem haters aren’t really consistent.
