Injuries seem more frequent with footballers

Not unrelated Newyddion. You suggested that a vegan diet may lead to more injuries, which directly contradicts the empirical medical data.
I’m not sure how this could be considered unrelated, but I’m willing to learn.
“I heard that more players were going vegan and clubs are seeing an increase in muscular/tendon injuries as a result”

Non of think links will show players with vegans diets that are injured and compare them to uninjured vegan players.

Lots of variables here, specific diet, change in diet, workload, specific workload.

Clearly there are benefits.. but are there also downsides? It could be the increased recovery times..

"Overall, we found that compared with meat eaters, vegans had higher risks of total, hip, leg, and vertebral fractures, while fish eaters and vegetarians had higher risk of hip fractures. These risk differences were likely partly due to their lower BMI, and possibly to lower intakes of calcium and protein."

"Vegans are more than twice as likely to suffer a hip fracture, ankle injury or other bone damage on their leg, a study from 2020 warned"

"So while it is expected to have less inflammation and less pain on a vegan diet, there might be cases of being more prone to injury in the first place due to the quality of protein available on a diet."

Increase in ACL injuries in the womens game... huge increase.

I remember when there was a huge spike in metatarsal injuries in the mens game.. turned out to linked to their flashy sports car pedals!!

I wonder in the ACL thing could be something daft like an increase in wearing high heals?

Don't hear many suffering from bunion injuries, they're a high heel problem.
