Inflation UP

That’s a big surprise, looks like food prices are now having an impact and we now seemed to have accepted that this is new norm. Also this is even with oil being at a (comparatively) low price and energy prices also set to fall.

But hey ho I’ve just remembered we can always put up interest rates as that has worked for the last 6 or so months 🙈

Yes but because food and drink in pubs have gone this means people can no longer afford to go out so they will have another 3p to add to their budget for meals. Which in real terms means they are no worse off, which obviously means if you are not worse off ergo you must be better off. So in a nutshell thanks to the tories we are now better off cos we’re no worse off cos we can’t afford what we used to be able to afford so we now have more money cos we aren’t spending anything cos we can’t afford anything.

It's peak Tory this. Hunt announcing inflation would drop to 2.9% by the end of the year then two weeks later it starts to climb :ROFLMAO:

They just can't help themselves. What a useless bunch.

Not sure what will happen now as the BoE will be under pressure to follow the US and reduce interest rates to steady the banking sector - surely according to the BoE and Gov that would fuel inflation. Along with all these inflation causing payrises they are dishing out (load of rubbish btw) their whole economic policy of two weeks ago is in tatters.

Let's have a GE now and just get these chancers gone.
