In celebration of dark ales

This is the one of the best brown ales I've ever tasted (probably one of the beers outright). I had it at the Mikkeller bar in Paris and might be restricted to that bar based on the low numbers of check ins?

Mikkeller do a monthly beer case, not cheap but very good, first box half price, though due to brexit there's been a delivery problem

Did not know that, thanks!

I'm (normally) in Stockholm quite a bit for work so usually get my fix in the bar there but it's been a while. Copenhagen Airport the night before Barnsley away last year to be precise :(

Not dark ales but delighted to find the William Bros Klute & Brel IPA's in the Aldi for £1.29 a can. Really tasty & refreshing.

I tried and liked this beer in France during the summer. The French are starting to get into dark ales and the choices in the supermarkets are improving.

It is called Black Lacorne.

Chilled

They also do a blonde beer, which is really nice and what I normally drink in the local PMU.
I do love some of the beers you find in France, although Belgian, La Chouffe is always welcome on the slopes.

Loving this love in for dark beers atm, I even know a couple of girls in their 20’s who are loving a stout at the moment.

I mentioned to my dad and he said “oh is mackesons stout? I like that”

so I’ve agreed when we can travel up home I’m going to get 8-10 from different brewery’s to share and compare

A thread about beer and not a mention of Teessides own
Tetley Imperial and Worthy ale
Brewed for Teesside on the label of one of them .
Proper beer , served cold , in the Ironopolis or the Navigation pre match
I do also love a pint of Wainwright though !
I can't believe no one has mentioned Tetley Imperial and Worthy ale .
And I will also give a shout out for double maxim and Newcastle brown .

A lot of women use to drink stout and the wife was told by the doctor to drink it when her iron was low.

The Belgians do some great Xmas/ winter beers, one site had over 60 different ones got a case, some very nice ones .
This one was particularly nice

Finished my afternoon at the bar with one of these (draught rather than bottle)

Not sure whether this is the thread for it but as my case had the millionaire stout I thought I’d add here rather than start a new thread.

Just ordered a case from Beer Hawk one of their £35 mixed cases of 24, there’s a code to get them for £24 which I thought was good consider the millionaire short bread stouts are £2 a can at my Waitrose. You can get on Sat if you order within the next 10 mins
