In Carrick we trust

We havent got anywhere near a full team. Nowt to do with any of the coaching.
Every team in the division is reliant on the loans from the Premier.
We cant win: if theyre sh.ite, as they usually are, then they bring nothing. If theyre any good then they move onto bigger and better things.

Today that bench was stacked, and he used it far too late.
He never had any intention of using Akpom or Coburn though. Pointless putting them on the bench. If he wanted to make a statement to Scott and Bausor he should have left 2 bench slots unfilled.

I don't doubt Carricks man management but I do doubt his tactical ability. Seems a bit Southgate with the late subs.

Short corners?

Playing players out of position which he did a fair amount last season.

Yes recruitment has been poor and yes Carrick did wonder work last season till April time.

Questions I have are, do we have a way to change the way we play to deal with the situation at hand? Do we have alternative formations? Do we have a clear game plan? The jury is currently out.

People doubting carrick 🤣 hilarious ffs, like he can do anymore to get ***** like crooks and mcnair to perform ffs

The problem is that Carrick won't hang around if he's not getting the tools to do his job.

The signs are already there that we're trying to match what we did last season but doing it on the cheap. I don't believe for one second that Carrick only had Akpom and Coburn on the bench to make a point, if anything it was to give us a lift. Lets hope Akpom is able to start next Saturday and that we have a striker who is up to the job, as that will give us all a lift.

He had a very good team vs Coventry and failed to respond to what was in front of him with Coventry’s change in system and poor performances from certain players.

Today that bench was stacked, and he used it far too late.

When will we ever learn and just hire a manager who makes the right decisions every single time without fail eh?

In the past Gibbo has not really backed our young managers with proper funds however generally has given those experienced more of a war chest. Mowbray and Woodgate come to mind in recent times as being under funded. Maybe its because we chose to hire them and not back them when times are hard and it ultimately ends in failure. Let’s not make the same mistake with MC.

We can’t match his ambitions with the players he needs to implement his vision sadly
Losing Giles to fcuking Luton of all places 🤷‍♂️
What are his ambitions? One could assume they are to get promoted with Boro? To become a successful manager?

I haven’t heard anything convincing from him. I am hoping he does have some vigour behind the scenes.

I said it before and I’ll say it again , I think Carrick has been found out . I mean recruitment has been poor , but the signs were there towards end of last season that he was found out

he hasn’t fallen out with the players like wilder has, but I feel it is going to repeat like it did under wilder in terms of results. I mean it’s the first game of the season , but I’m not convinced it’s going to be any different
