I know I came out with negative comments after the last game about Engel in particular and Barlaser to a lesser extent but watching last night's game (without either, I may add). I could see the game plan again. McGree was integral to that with his pace and movement. For a 15 minute spell we looked like man City, picking them off at will when they tried to get out of their box. Unfortunately, we don't have their players and can't at the minute keep thar up for 90+ plus minutes.
On the negative side, we're still weak at times in defence and thanks Glover, you've done a great job in Diengs absence but the limitations are starting to show.
I Just hope the players heads don't start going down too much due to recent results.

Not sure how to reply to that. We played well last night but got beat. I liked a lot of what I saw. I'm no fortune teller and can't tell you what the future holds

Even if we were to sneak into the playoffs off the back of an amazing run (and it would have to be amazing, as even winning 10 out of the last 15 would only give us 71 points) the team isn't yet good enough to play in the Premier League. I do think several of the players we've signed have the potential to kick on next season and become really top end players - so keeping Carrick and the nucleus of the team together will be key.
