If we had all players available would you start Clarke?

For me we should play with 3 at the back. Rvb Clark and fry with Lenihan and paddy challenging - we know we’ll get injuries so 5 players for 3 places is the minimum.

we should focus on recruiting attacking fullbacks in the Ryan Giles mould and we defo need some new ones.

Amazed Fry is in anybody’s top3?
We all hope RVB is the real deal based on what we have seen so far and the interest in him before he signed.
We all seen Lenihan’s very impressive season last year - massive miss this time around.
We have all seen the commitment and ability of Clarke - a bloke whose whole career looked doomed after a terrible injury.
Sadly Fry being a local lad was hugely overhyped with lots on here and as a result massively overinflated at circa £20m. We will let him go for anything near £2m in the summer

I think a Lenihan VDB partnership could work really well. Clarke as an alternative.. potentially keep Paddy for his versatility if we can agree a new deal and sell Fry who for me is weaker than the first 3.
I agree with this. It won't be the end of the world if we can't agree a deal with McNair and if Fry ends up staying, but ideally I'd prefer for Fry to move on and for McNair to stay.

VDB obviously has to start, but think you can make a good case for any of the other three (Clarke, McNair, Lenihan).

Always thought Fry was rather overrated by some of our fans and in 10 seasons as a pro has only managed 30 league games 5 times however maybe he's gone full circle now and is underrated?

Clarke would definitely not start for me.
I'm not sure who I would start with VdB, but Rav would start in the specific CB position he prefers. He is the best player we have at the back.
It would be Fry or McNair to partner him dependent on who Carrick feels would compliment him best.

I think Clarke and Lenihan can only work in a 3 - and we don't play that.

I am sure Carrick will play VdB with Fry next season.
